It’s the custom of Ste Bernadette to celebrate the school’s day annually .This year’s event was dated on Saturday 14thOctober 2017. It was a bliss morning and the sky was blue. This spiced the setting of the venue that was decorated white with tents .And from a distance one would smell a spackle of joy.
It all started with the Holy mass by Rev Father Remy. In his preaching, he revolved around the role of the parents towards their children’s moral shaping. He requested them to play their role during the holidays and not to leave it all for the teachers at school.
The mass was followed by entertainment from students which included the parents’ favorite traditional dance ,poetry ,songs ,drama ,karate and a variety of other games .this was followed by a couple of speeches .these included the speech of the head teacher who reminded the guests about the history of the school. She also informed them about the good performance registered last year in the national exams. she concluded by thanking the teachers, parents and the well-wishers for their sacrifice towards the excellency of the school.
The chairperson of the parents’ committee thanked the school administration for the good job they are doing in providing their children with complete education. He emphasized this by quoting the real picture of a Bernadette student from the eating habits, dressing code, language, morale and commitment that our students exhibit in every activity and wherever they go.
The message from the head of Abenebikira Sisters Community was not any different. The community thanked God the Almighty for all the providence he has had over his creation and man in particular. They thanked the Almighty for having entrusted the Virgin Mary to be the blessed Mother of Jesus through whom human souls are redeemed.
They also thanked Abenebikira Sisters, particularly those involved in the education service here at Groupe Scolaire Sainte Bernadette - Save for the good job of parenting that they are doing
