G.S Sainte Bernadette - Save student wins national writing competitions

Groupe Scolaire Sainte Bernadette – Save is a school of excellence. If there is a thing that has no place at our school, it is mediocrity. In everything we do, we always aim at not just winning, but excelling.
This winning and excelling mentality has been deeply inculcated in the minds and mindsets of our students.
Our students know that they do not only have to excel in academics, but also in any other activity they are participating in.
One such a student who has embraced and portrayed our excelling mentality is Ndahiro Germaine, a S.5HEL student who won the ANDIKA RWANDA 2016 writing competitions.

Germaine’s poem entitled “PARADISE” was one of the best writings at this year’s competition. “Paradise” is a poem in which she portrayed man’s welfare in relation to God’s provision. The poem captured the beauty of nature and man’s comfort in this beautiful nature, all as God’s hand.
At the award giving ceremony that took place at Kamonyi, Germaine recited her poem in front of the dignitaries and other guests present.

She was awarded with a brand new computer and given a certificate of merit for her work. She also got a number of goodies, including scholastic materials such as books, pens and pencils.
Andika Rwanda is an annual national writing competition for children’s stories and poems that started in 2014. It is a joint partnership with the Rwanda Education Board – REB and USAID’s Literacy, Language and Learning Initiative, implemented by the Education Development Center.
We congratulate Ndahiro Germaine upon this achievement and encourage her to keep it up and not let the sky be her limit.
