FORMER STUDENTS VISIT GS. ST BERNADETTE

Dear reader,

Let’s give a round of applause to our old students. They deserve a standing ovation for they have remained part of the Saint Bernadette community.

They came in large numbers for the umuganda on Saturday 29th march 2015 and did a very good job towards the efforts of the school administration in beautifying the school.

We are removing the old fencing round the school, planting new flowers and re-designing the school compound. The front view of the school is starting to shine as a flower. Come pay us a visit and see for yourself.

The Headmistress praised their efforts to keep their school at heart and portraying the real characteristics of St.Bernadette wherever they are. She thanked the group for showing unity even as they were planting “Paspalum” in front of the new school fence.

These old students spared their time to talk to their young brothers and sisters. the current students were assured that they are studying in one of the best schools in the country, an opportunity they have to utilise.

These old students also told their young brothers and sisters that "at GS. St Bernadette, passing is not enough; you have to excel".

They called upon this year’s candidates to prepare early enough so as to bring home the best of their results.

The day’s event was closed by a football game between the old and current students of the school. It was an entertaining fun-filled match watched by almost every member of the saint Bernadette family.

This visit was a perfect demonstration of the saying, ’east or west, home is the best’.

Indeed home is the best and every member of the saint Bernadette family will always be welcome back home.
