PRAYER IS OUR SECRET!
As you well know, St. Bernadette is the first girls’ school in Rwanda and has been shinning since the day it was born.
“Our success is not by accident”, says Rev. Sr. Marie Jose MUKANIYONSABA,the deputy in charge of discipline. “Our children excel because we have put God at the center of everything we do and prayer is our secret”, she adds.
Accordingly, lesson hours in the classrooms start with a minute of prayer and the children lead themselves as the Holy Spirit guides them. Mass, personal devotions and other forms of prayer are also taken very seriously here at Saint Bernadette.
A prayerful student is helped by God to understand the lessons and this type of student is also protected by God from many careless types of indiscipline.
You may not exactly agree, but that’s it. Prayer is our secret. As our School Motto suggests, “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
Simply put, its praying that makes Saint Bernadette one of the best schools in this country, and that is not about to change. We keep praying so as to become stronger, and you also keep us in your prayers. The sky is the limit and our God won’t let us down.
