End of term Three 2014

Our esteemed supporters of this page, we great you in the mighty name of our Lord. At this time of the term we would wish to update you on the major activities which took place here at St Bernadette.

Since our last communication with you, a number of activities have taken place and others took place at your Favorite Educational Institution. We are going to summarize the events here bellow,

PARENTS MEETING AND VISITATION DAY OF SEPTEMBER

Beginning from the morning hours of the bright Sunday, a good number of parents and Guardians trekked the school compound to check on their young ones in a number of fields including academics, discipline counseling and guidance. It was indeed a good day for us and we appreciate those who made efforts to come from far and wide to lend a hand in uplifting the education standards of our learners.

SPORTS
From the beginning of the term, we have participated in a number of activities mostly in the student’s inter-class competitions and friendly matches between students and teachers as wall as between Ste Bernadette and other schools.
For instance there was mass sport which involved teachers and students touring around the school nearby areas as required from the ministry of education.

Students also played friendly football game yesterday on 22nd October 2014 with St Kizito Technical school where they drew with 2:2 goals in football and a win in favor of Ste Bernadette in basketball both boys and girls.

SCHOOL DAY
It was on 04th October when the school celebrated its day which was celebrated internally by the school community that is, teachers and students which was comprised of baptism and confirmation of some students.

In that case, we were blessed with Holy mass conducted and an implication that our school is really blessed. That is a confirmation that our best school of excellence is based on strong foundation of Jesus Christ

CLOSING MASS
On Tuesday of 21st October 2014 there was closing mass in the school main hall which was attended by students and their teachers.

The main theme was to encourage students to be well behaved in their long holidays and come back to school when they are still good. The priest encouraged students by giving them a lot of teachings as children of God.

Finally, the priest gave the blessings and closed the mass where by everybody was happy since the mass was conducted in several languages especially French, Kinyarwanda and singing was in Kiswahili and English.

IGITARAMO.

MEMBERS OF THE TRADITIONAL DANCE IN ACTION

Yesterday the 22nd witnessed the end of year Igitaramo in the school whereby the school community was entertained in various entertainment activities like; plays, skits, imivugo, karate, comedies, and traditional dance and aiming at promoting the good behaviors in their communities especially when they go home for this long holiday.

They also received a lot of moral lessons from the Headteacher of the school encouraging them to remain good examples in their communities. She further called upon students to love the country and become the light of the nation.

She also thanked God for making all of us alive to end the term peacefully and stressed that they have to remain good examples of others to clearly show that our school is school of excellence for real and forever always.

The Headteacher also thanked fellow teachers for being good and hard working to ensure that the school reach its desired destination.

Finally, you are informed that the term has officially closed today 23rd October 2014. The Students in senior one, two, four and five left the school today early in the morning.

However students in candidate classes have remained at school waiting their National Examinations to be done soon. All students, parents and entire community of the school, you are called upon to pray for our candidates for success in their examinations.

We wish you all a lot of blessings for this long holiday and, a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year.
