On the 8th June 2014, it was a special day with our candidates of last year now University Aspirants returned for a colourful ceremony code named Garuka Ushime. The ceremony began with holly mass at the Parish Church where the Old Timer Choir Group messimerised the congregation with the still sweet voices amidst the expected hoarse voices of the holiday activities.

The group presented their thanks to The Almighty God for seeing the; through their secondary schooling days with nothing less than success for that’s why they were toiling day and night for the three years of their Advanced Level Education.

Church activities over, we headed home for a fantastic lunch in the main hall since the group was now handled as visitors far from what they expected. The group had time enough to converse and inform mostly about the way forward after the release of results. The group also talked on a number of issues with the school administration before they were allowed time to meet the whole school community.

The day came to a climax with a football match between the old timers and the present school team, a game that ended in a 3:2 win for the olds. Our news team was on ground with different questions some of which some went like this.

QUESTION. Coming in such big numbers, how do you vacists organise such an event?

ANSWER. In the first place, as children of this home, we are always in touch with each other. With this tie we are always together as a family at all times. We communicate always and we are always in touch with our school.

QUESTION. What made you happy in the day’s activities?
ANSWER. a. Almost everything, meeting once again as a class is too big to imagine.
The lunch served was much more than we expected.
Taking Photos in this compound not in Uniform was not only interesting but also memorable.
Sitting with and listening to our Head teacher once again, with her parental advice was another unforgettable moment.

QUESTION. What could be the secret to the academic success you people attained as a group?

ANSWER. The four ways formula was all, i.e. Prayer, Hard Work, Humility and Being Active.

QUESTION. What can you say you have obtained from this event?
ANSWER. To many to mention; the Parental advice on how to make money, how to grab opportunities, how to chose from the options of life, the kind of re-union e t c.

QUESTION; what message is you leaving with your young sisters and brothers here in school especially the candidates?

ANSWER. Fear for the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge of the Holy one understands. The rest we are sure the school serves enough since we are products of assurance.
The day’s activities came to an end with a football match between the two teams, the team that was and the team that is. The old team emphasised their superiority with a 3:2 win.
